Bookbinding Lessons

Interested in learning bookbinding? I run classes in my private studio here in Melbourne. I teach them in blocks of 4 weeks ( 4 x 3 hour lessons ), and you can start any time. As they are a cumulative type thing, the more you do, the more you learn. I start off with simple book structures, and then move into more complex ones... this is because there is alot to get your head around. I cover both modern and older structures and styles, tooling and decoration, box making, books in leather and non -adhesive bindings... Feel free to contact me for more details....

hello again...
another book, this one with a limp cover...leather on the outside, suede on the inside...
more of a modern binding. this one was abit of an experiment... i sanded the leather
on the edges, which i hope will be visible enough in the photo...
